history of gaming 50-70's (continued)

On the first of January 1972 the Odyssey home console, alongside the Atari pong system and the Japanese "Go", ( An interesting fact is that the Go was the first electric game system developed by Nintendo who were at the time a toy manufacturer.) the Odyssey was technically the first home gaming console, only problem with it was that it was overly expensive and most people couldn't afford the system let alone buy games for it. because of this when the Atari pong system became available in 74 the Odyssey failed to compete with its rival. ( most people also don't know that Nintendo had distribution rights for the Odyssey Magnavox in Japan, this was actually their first steps in the gaming industry ).
Then in 1978 Taito released Space Invaders, which became available on the first two micro computers ever produced, the PET and the Atari 2600.
